More world-class comedy from the
Maui Comedy Festival ohana
JUNE • JULy • AUGUST • SEPTEMBER
Catching the wave from the success of the 2014 Maui Comedy Festival, the producers are keeping the laughs going with a summer series featuring some of the most respected names in comedy. Starting with the epically droll master comedian, Todd Barry for an intimate night of comedy at Charley's Restaurant & Saloon in June, then it's off to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center for the rest of the 2015 Summer.
July brings the irreverent and critically-acclaimed Jim Jefferies, with his unique no-holds-barred standup that has sold out theaters worldwide. September delivers two amazing yet very different performances. First, Brad Williams takes the stage on the North Shore with his irreverent and brilliant observations and later in the month, the classic comedy of Sinbad. Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 standup comedians of all time, Sinbad is enjoying something of a renaissance these days with a style and charisma that continues to pack clubs and auditoriums alike. And thanks to Tropical Storm Guillermo bumping him from his August date, October welcomes the multi-talented comic and actor Patton Oswalt to Maui for the first-time.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29TH @ THE MACC
Patton continues to find success in all areas of entertainment, from his Grammy-nominated comedy specials to his many memorable guest roles on his favorite TV shows (including Parks and Recreation, for which he received a TV Critics Choice Award). Finest Hour also received a Grammy nomination for “Best Comedy Album,” as well as a Showtime one-hour special of the same name. In 2009, Patton received his first Grammy nomination for his album My Weakness Is Strong which was distributed through Warner Brothers Records.
In addition to his recent guest roles on Veep, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Battle Creek, Parks and Recreation, Justified, Two and a Half Men, Portlandia, Burn Notice, Patton also voiced characters on The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers.
